Welcome to our first blog post!

Hey everyone, Sid and I are creating this blog to record each session as the players progress their game through the next 10 weeks. We hope you'll join us in reading and posting a few comments on each post!

We had great first session on Saturday! It was a bit chaotic but the students got a good first introduction to tennis, with how to hold a raquet and swing. We started out with basic drills and played some fun games towards the end.

While we focused on building the forehand, we incorporated some four-square, pong, and jailbreak games towards the end. The kids were looking good, though there were many skyballs, net shots, and flying racquets to go around :)

Over the next couple weeks, we're looking to build good foundational strokes, especially the forehand and backhand, so that we can begin some more intense drills and matchplay. The goal is for the students to be able to create a consistent rally with each other, and look and feel like tennis pros!🎾
