Hey everyone,
Our second session was the best one yet! We spent the first half focusing intensely on forehand technique. A consistent forehand is the most powerful tool to have, and we went through every aspect. It was a lot of hard work in the sun, but we're starting to see more balls over the net, and some extended rallies for the intermediates!
Hand-eye coordination is crucial for all racquet sports. For the beginners, we spent some time working on ball bouncing exercises, instructing them on racquet contact point and consistency. The competitions were close and intense. Shoutout to Gabrielle who won 3 in a row! We moved on to forehand and volley drills, ending with a large group game.
For the intermediates, we worked more on forehand rallying and volleys, switching between both forehand and continental grips. We played olympics and pong games in the second half. Jailbreak also is a favorite, and one game went on for 10 minutes in our first session!
