Hello everyone! We had an exciting week 6 session! This weeks focus was on perfect practice. Our coach always said that practice does not make perfect; practice makes permanent, and perfect practice makes perfect.

This week, our intermediate players mastered the skill of ball placement, and progressed into learning the new shot of serves. They learned the forms and progressions of the serve and then were able to practice it. The serve is dubbed as one of the “most important shots in all of tennis” so we wanted to introduce the concept this lesson.

Our beginner players focused on consistent shortcourt rallying to improve consistency! We played singles matches, which became very competitive, as players fought hard to win the candy prize! We also re-emphasized the importance of the ground strokes and volleys by doing drills to improve their consistency.

Overall, I am very proud of all the players as they have a very open minded attitude towards grasping the new concepts! Tennis is a challenging game but through their perfect practice they are on their way to mastering it!🎾🎾🎾
